Resume writing is a very
important task for writers and job seekers.
In spite of having a lot of information on Internet, there are still
many doubts among many to create a resume. This blog post focuses on some of the

- Resume Template
It is your choice to choose a
template and just remember that you should be able to facilitate appealing
presentation of different
components of resume and make it readable.
- Font selection
Generally
Times New Roman and Arial font is in use as the letters are clear and save
space. But if you wish to choose Calibri, Cambria
or any other font, ensure to get a clarity in PDF or docx files.
- Font size
Font size 12 is greatly in
use as it gives plenty of visibility and clarity. But for address, email and
phone number, you can choose 11 or 10 size, if you wish to make it appear as
small.
- School Information to add or not
School information is not
required, when you have graduated from a university. Name of education program,
name of college/university and year of completion and name is required.
- Pursuing Education – How to add
If you are pursuing
education, you can add the world “pursuing” or “student of” and add the name of
course and you can also state, the month and year due for completion.
- How to write content
Content for writing your
achievements and accomplishments have to be very clear and convey the needs of
your targeted job. Avoid irrelevant words and make it directly related to the
job.
- Mistakes to avoid
Too many sentences or a long
line of irrelevant jobs can be avoided as it reduces your scope for recruiting
you. Avoid grammar and spelling
mistakes and check thoroughly before submission.

Since your profile is unique
for a job, you need to make it closely relevant and highly applicable to enable
the system to track your application and call you for an interview. Never copy
someone’s accomplishments or achievements or sentences. Prepare your own
