Why can't I get a job with my resume?

As hundreds of job seekers pursue their careers, finding a job with resume plays a crucial role. With or without internship or volunteer experience, there is always a hesitation and anxiety in the submission of online resume and cover letter. Most of the job seekers miss one or more aspects of resume that completely takes away the job opportunity.

In order to be successful in getting a job with your resume and cover letter, ensure to follow these steps.

1. Give emphasis on education, if you are a fresh graduate. Mention briefly about what you have studied in your Graduation and quote your GPA. Demonstrate confidence about your knowledge, skill and capabilities to perform the job correctly.

2. If you are an experienced employee, you have a bigger role to play in the next job and you should job description thoroughly before applying for the job position.  Ensure that your skills and experience are completely in tune with the employers requirements.  Quote your education, skills, expert areas and how initiative you are in accepting more responsibilities in the the new job.

3. Be willing to deliver more output of work

Employers would check your credentials, portfolio and verify your capabilities and interest towards jobs and duties. Timely work schedules, deliveries, summary, reports and all other office duties have to be done properly. So be ready and accept works to complete these as soon as possible.

4. Be ready to take the new job

Get a complete understanding about the new job and start working. The sooner you get used to the duties, the better as you can start delivering successful results to the company. Your boss will appreciate your hard work,and soon you gain recognition.

5. Pay attention to the text in your resume

One page or more than two page, your resume is representing you. Every word, sentence and punctuation earmarks you and your success. Have a clear career objective/career summary/profile summary, go to the next level of writing about your skills and expert areas. If you have less experience, it doesn't matter.

6. Attach a brief cover letter to resume

Resume is half without a cover letter. State briefly how you have completed your education as a fresher or as an experienced employee, and use simple and effective words.

7. Keep more than one resume formats

Apply and submit your resume in at least for two jobs. Resume format carries a lot of significance and gives a better scope to know the facts of getting recruited.
